WhyWontGodHealAmputees.com asks some of the hard questions about religion, about God, about prayer. It uses simple language and is easy to read, but perhaps not for the squeamish. It speaks openly about amputated limbs. Not pleasant to think about but drives home the point like perhaps nothing else can. There is no way getting around the fact that some prayers
never get answers. Or, put another way, the answer is
always No.
Christians claim that God always answers, Yes, No, or Maybe. Things like cancer sometimes go into remission for no known reason. It seems a miracle. People get healthy when they were expected to die. But this never happens with amputations. A person looses a limb, that person will be minus that limb for life. It's very obvious--anybody can see it with the naked eye. One doesn't need high-tech equipment to see it like with bacteria and the likes.
There's nothing mysterious about it. No matter how many people pray or how much faith they have or how deserving the amputee is, legs and arms and feet don't grow back on humans. Some creeping life like certain kinds of insects may be able to grow new body parts but not humans. Yet the Bible says we get anything we ask for. But the answer to the amputees prayers for a new leg or arm is always and forever: NO.
That is the kind of questions WhyWontGodHealAmputees deals with. If you need arguments to counter fundamentalist Christianity, this site has some. And they are easy to understand. They make sense. You don't have to know philosophy or theology to understand what these people are saying. But like I said, for really sensitive people perhaps it's too squeamish. Be your own judge. Read at your own discretion.
