Internet Sacred Text Archive has English, as well as original language, translations of many texts from "Native American, Pacific, African, Asian and other traditional people's religion, spiritual practices, mythology and folklore," as well as a bibliography of these texts.

Sacred Texts Timeline is a chart showing when key texts for major world religions were written; these are primarily the Bible, Vedas, Koran, and IChing. You will note that in the left column are the dates used by mainstream Western tradition for measuring time. Across the top of the chart are the names of various traditions, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Zoroastrianism, and Baha'i--all of which constitute the Western tradition. In the next column we see the South Asian names: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism. Next to the South Asian tradition is the East Asian tradition: Confucianism, Taoism, Shinto. And finally is "Other," which begins with the Big Bang.

If you scroll halfway down the page you will see that there is no Year 0. Between Years 100 BCE (Before the Common Era) and 100 CE (Common Era), is Year 1 CE; that is the way the years are counted in the Western tradition. You will note that the other traditions have other dates or numbers for the same year based on important events in their mythology or history.

The Sacred Text of each religion is listed in the slot of time in which it was written.

According to the page on Origin of Major Religions, Hinduism is 700 years older than Judaism. The Bible is not the world's oldest text and Christianity does not have the oldest religious roots.

There are more than a thousand books on Sacred Text Archive. Obviously, only key texts for major religions are on the Timeline. The goal of the site is "religious tolerance and scholarship."
