This website/forums complex grew out of a life-long search to understand how to fit together religion and reality. In Dec. 2005, while I was still seeking ways to hold onto Christianity, I compared central ideas taught by the theologian Paul Tillich and the psychologist Abraham H. Maslow, and set up the Humanist Truth website/forums complex. Tillich and Maslow both wrote in the middle of the 20th century from an existential philosophical perspective. I believe that the human experience tells us what reality is like.
I am now linking the two. Feel free to sign up on The Humanist Truth. It may be a more comfortable place for people of a less militant personality, or who wish to explore ideas rather than confront religion. I was in the exploration stage when I set it up. It has been inactive for a long time but I re-did the web-pages today and I posted my change of theological position.
A good place to start reading is the the What's New page because the new stuff starts right there.
Edited to take out live links that lead to dead ends.
