ExChristian.net exists to encourage exChristians. There are two main parts--Main Blog and Forums, plus a
bookstore,
blogs for members, Gmail, and other goodies linked from the Forums.
On the
Main Blog, webmaster the owner posts emails, articles, and other pieces of writing sent in by readers. Occasionally he writes an article himself. Readers can post comments on the things webmaster posts, but they cannot post articles directly onto the Main Blog.
On the
Forums, members can post freely. "Supporting members," people who pay a subscription, have somewhat more privileges than people who use the forums for free. Topics cover everything under the sun. The attitude is very accommodating, the fellowship is wonderful. It seems like a church fellowship hall without the religion. I have been a member for about a year (joined August 2006) and do not see myself leaving anytime soon.
Lest anyone think this is "heaven on earth," I will note that once in a while there is conflict. However, for the most part members seem to be determined to keep the atmosphere friendly and congenial.
